On Tuesday I was driving on a country road when I saw a sign

Not a Meta-physical sign

Just a road sign

I've never seen this sign before and it kind of stuck with me... truthfully I couldn't stop thinking about it

This is what the sign said

Ready?

DANGEROUS CURVE AHEAD

And I thought to myself hmmmm

Who builds a dangerous road... and just leaves it there?

I mean...

Isn't there some kind of protocol at the end of the day?

Like one last check or a test drive?

Just to make sure... that it's not dangerous?

Am I wrong? ... like how'd that slip by?

All the road makers were standing right there

They had all the road making materials with them I assume

They could have even came back the next day and fixed it casualties would have been minimal

But apparently someone suggested they just put up a sign

And everyone went along

No one objected

"Yeah a sign... good idea... what should it say?"

"Well if you look at it from this angle... it appears to be curving quite dangerously. So maybe we'll start it off with the word...Dangerous... or danger. Just some variation of that should be good to let 'em know"

"I like it... Dangerous Curve? Should we tell them it curves to the left?"

"No F*em they'll find out when they get there"

Might as well have a sign that says sh*t happens

This actually messed me up for a minute

I went home and did research

I was like...

Google, what is happening in my life right now?

Google said

Bro it gets so much worse keep scrolling

That's when I found out there's an even worse sign

There's a sign that literally says

Danger Ahead

That's all it says

Just completely vague non descriptive ominous this is how every horror film starts out

They just want us white knuckled grip on the steering wheel like...

"I don't know what it's gonna be... BUT IT'S COMING"

DANGER AHEAD?

What is wrong with us?

Why are we building roads that lead to DANGER?

Didn't anyone ask "Hey are you sure you want to keep this road going up to that Dangerous sh*t?"

"Yeah... just make the road curve around it... doesn't even matter if it curves dangerously around the danger"

Have we lost our minds?

Anyway.... still driving

The very next sign I see

Is actually a good one

I like this one

It's the sign that says

"Slippery When Wet"

You've seen it

Guys in his vintage chevy, cruising solo, he's got good posture

Except he doesn't even know about those snakes following him

I get it though. Rain, ice, snow. It's a good sign

Actually now that I'm thinking about it...

What's not slippery when wet?

Does this sign apply to everything all the time

The next time I grab a beer bottle that's wet, and therefore slips out of my hand and shatters everywhere

"THE SIGN TOLD ME THIS WOULD HAPPEN! I thought it was irrelevant on that beautiful day I was driving around"

Might as well say "Slippery in Jello"
